Event Details

This is the first of two workshops to enable stakeholders to contribute towards the development of a Sustainable Local Food Strategy for Co Durham. The project was launched at an event in March (see: www.durhamrcc.org.uk/letstalkaboutfood). Each of the two workshops will be repeated and run in 2 locations. If you are unable to attend this one or would prefer the alternative venue, it is to be held again in Murton on 19th June and you will receive an invitation to book for that date in due course.

The event in Barnard Castle is being run in conjunction with Durham County Council's Altogether Greener week and there will also be some stalls run by local businesses/projects, and a Quiz to test your knowledge around the links between food and climate change with a hamper of local food for the winner.

Registration will begin at 9am with hot drinks available. The workshop will run from 9.30am until 1pm, with a short tea/coffee break. A light lunch will be provided from 1-2pm when you will have time to talk to the stallholders and network with other participants.

Parking is available in a pay and display car park opposite the hall (which is much closer to the A67 than the google map indicator), or on road parking along Newgate.
